Borussia Dortmund has stated categorically that they will not entertain any offers for English youngster Jadon Sancho despite interests from clubs abroad.

Chief Executive Officer told Eurosport Germany in an interview that the club's interest now is to ensure that the player, who he described as brilliant, will not lose focus.

Sancho, 19, has been the focus of transfer speculations this season following his tremendous form for Dortmund in the ongoing Bundesliga campaign.

Reports say that Manchester City, where Sancho graduated as a player, but left to Dortmund for more playing time, is interested in re-engaging the youngster, while speculations are going around in the media that Manchester United are also interested in the player's services.

"We will not sell him, that is a fact. It is clearly discussed with every person who is involved that Jadon plays in the next season for BVB," said Watzke.

"His progress is brilliant. For his age, he plays extremely remarkable because he does things you cannot plan like this. But we have to be careful that we do not trigger the hype. This boy just turned 19 years old."

"He is not allowed to lose a millimetre of focus because of the top players every thousandth count. Cristiano Ronaldo has not been at the top of the world for many years because of his talent, but because of his focus, no one other has."

"If Jadon proves that in the next few years, we can talk about a world career as well. At this time, we can only speak about his huge potential."

Sancho has scored eight goals and providing 13 assists this season in the league – the most of any player in Europe’s top five divisions."
