Neuer Tells Bayern To Solve Defensive Blunders
By Joshua Walters
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is urging the side to solve its defensive frailties as he describes the goals conceded against Augsburg as 'madness'.
The German believes such mistakes could cause them in the Champions League should they repeat the same in the European competition.
The Bavarians came back from behind to win 3-2 at Augsburg in a Bundesliga game on Friday.
Augsburg took the lead within opening sixty seconds of the game through Leon Goretzka's own goal.
Kinsley Coman levelled up for the Bavarians only for them to concede again before Coman drew parity with his brace on the night ahead of David Alaba's match-winner.
"We wanted to keep a clean sheet again, the good thing was that we still had time after the 1-0.
"The game was all great, but conceding the goals was, of course, madness," Neuer told reporters. "You cannot do that.
"Liverpool will have more chances to score. We were caught cold twice on the wings, we need to stand better, occupy the box better and organise ourselves very well, especially with passes over the side so we can prevent that."
