Rodgers joins the Foxes from Celtic after spending two and a half seasons with the Parkhead club which he guided to seven domestic trophies – including two Scottish Premiership titles.
The 46-year-old manager has a well-built reputation on both sides of the border as he took charged of Liverpool, Swansea City, Reading and Watford in his managerial domain.
The Northern Irishman after signing the dotted lines expressed his delight in joining the Foxes and his ambition for the former Premier League champions.
“I’m very privileged and honoured to be here as Leicester City manager and I’ll give my life to make the supporters proud of their club.
“Together, we’ll be stronger and I’m looking forward to working with the player, staff, and supporters to make the right steps forward.”
Rodgers has experience in the Premier League and also at the top level as he has managed 150 games in the Premier League during his spell with Swansea City and Liverpool, as well as numerous European campaigns.
Rodgers after spending a number of years coaching in the academies of Reading and Chelsea finally took charge of Watford in 2008 where his managerial career started as he rescued the side from relegation in the Championship in his first season.
