Ibrahimovic Tells Kane To Dump Tottenham Hotspurs

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has urged Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspurs for a bigger club if he wants to advance his career and win laurels.
Harry Kane has become one of the most prolific frontmen in Europe since becoming a mainstay in the Tottenham Hotspurs set up in the 2014/2015 season, scoring 123 goals in 174 Premier League appearances.
Kane has also won the Premier League golden boot in two of the last three seasons and emerged as the top scorer at last summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Despite his impressive individual accolades, Kane’s inability to win any silverware at club level has led to calls for him to leave for a top side, and Ibrahimovic has joined the clarion call.
Asked if Kane needs to leave Spurs to win trophies, Ibrahimovic told Bethard: ‘When I was in England, I saw him play. I think he’s a good striker, he’s still developing.
‘He’s doing good things but I always say playing at a big club, performing good, it’s different from playing in – with all due respect for Tottenham – a normal club and performing there.
‘It’s two different situations because I saw players do the same thing but when they come to a big club something is different.
‘But I think he could make it. He just needs to make the move. People remember you for what you win and in the end, he needs to win.
‘So if he wants to win [big trophies], yes, I think he needs to change. ‘Because I think Tottenham have a great team, but they’re not at the level to win everything even if they have a fantastic coach.’
Tottenham Hotspurs were knocked out of two domestic cup competitions last month, whiles another title challenge has fizzled out after losing to Chelsea on Wednesday but they are favorites to advance to the quarterfinal stage of the Champions League after beating Borussia Dortmund 3-0 in the round of 16 first leg.
