Pellegrini's Agent Dismisses Roma Exit Talks

Lorenzo Pellegrini is staying at AS Roma and may soon sign an improved contract extension with the Stadio Olimpico outfit, according to the player’s agent, Giampiero Pocetta.
Pellegrini, 22, reportedly has a £27 million release clause in his contract with the She-Wolf, but reports are rife that Manchester United are eager to trigger it in the Januray transfer window and even double the midfielder's wages.
Pocetta has, however, played down the rumors, saying his client is focused on AS Roma and not financial gains from clubs outside.
"If I have to talk about Lorenzo right now, the only thing I can talk about is his extraordinary form," Pocetta tells Corriere dello Sport.
"He's getting what he deserves on the pitch, and the rumors about the transfer market have never distracted him nor disturbed him."
"Pellegrini is only thinking about improving with and for Roma."
"Manchester United? I'm sorry that rumours have spread about financial aspects relating to him and his teammates. It doesn't matter for Lorenzo. He doesn't live for meetings, especially financial ones."
"These issues don't count for now - it's normal that Pellegrini is liked. Lorenzo is happy, though, he's already chosen Roma once."
"Then, when it's time, we'll sit down with (AS Roma Sporting Director) Monchi again."
