Mourinho: Liverpool Match Not Down To Past Glories
By Joshua Walters
Jose Mourinho says he is not concentrating on Manchester United’s past glories over Liverpool as the two sides clash at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Portuguese trainer believes focusing on Sunday’s clash is much more important than being carried away the recent good run that his side has had over the Reds.
Mourinho has never lost a league match against Liverpool since he joined the Red Devils in 2016, but insists that the record will not make him complacent going into the match day-17 clash.
“We got two positive results against Liverpool last season,”.
“We beat them at home, we didn't lose any match against them in four I think, but that was the past.
“So Sunday has nothing to do with what happened in the past.
"I have to focus not on what happened, not on the credit we were given or not given, I have to focus on the next match, the next match is the one that is important and that's it.”
