Henry Favourite To Land AS Monaco Job

Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has been linked with the vacant managerial position at AS Monaco following the sacking of Leonardo Jardim.
The Red and Whites severed ties with the Portuguese national on Thursday, and the France and Arsenal legend is said to be in pole position to take over the mantra.
The 41-year-old Frenchman is currently the Assistant to Roberto Martinez at the Belgium national team, and reports suggest he is keen to become his own boss at the Stade Louis II.
Henry made his professional debut with Monaco in 1994, and good form led to an international call-up in 1998, after which he signed for Juventus.
Henry helped AS Monaco to win the Ligue 1 title in 1997, and starting his managerial career at the Stade Louis II would be like a homecoming for the retired France World Cup winner.
Henry was close to joining Championship side Aston Villa after the Midland club’s sacking of Steve Bruce last week, but changed direction to boyhood club in his home country a few days ago when it became certain that Monaco will be sacking Jardim.
The Aston Villa job has since been given to former Brentford boss, Dean Smith, with former Chelsea defender and former Villan, John Terry, as his assistant.
The 1998 World Cup winner is Arsenal’s all-time leading goalscorer with 258 goals across two spells and is regarded by many as the greatest foreigner to play in the English Premier League.
