Danny Rose: Sharing England Camp With Liverpool Players Has Been Tough

Tottenham Hotspurs and England left-back, Danny Rose, had admitted spending time with Liverpool’s champions league winners in the England camp has been tough.
Rose lasted the entire game in the UEFA Champions League final as Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspurs 2-0 at Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium on June 1 to win the competition for a sixth time.
The Champions League finalists contributed seven players to England’s Nations League campaign, which ended in a third place finish after defeating Switzerland on penalties on Sunday, with Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold representing Liverpool, while Dele Alli, Danny Rose, Harry Winks and Harry Kane came from the Tottenham camp.
Danny Rose, who is Tottenham’s current longest serving player, admitted after Sunday’s game that meeting Liverpool’s winners in the national team camp less than a week after losing to them in the Champions League final served as a painful reminder.
Speaking to reporters about his time with England, Rose said: "It's not draining coming to play for your country.”
"It is a bit draining having lost last weekend and having to share the camp with Liverpool players. You are reminded every day that you lost the final and that was a unique experience for me.
"I have never been through that myself. I was definitely tired from a long season with my club and having to come to England didn't help. But as I said, whenever you're selected for England it is a great occasion. It is one I will always welcome and cherish."
