Meunier has signed an 18-month contract with his new club.

The Belgium international joined Dortmund from Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2020 and made 86 appearances at the Signal Iduna Park, scoring three goals and registering eight assists.

His only trophy with Dortmund was the DFB-Pokal in the 2020/2021 season.

We have complied with his wish to move, thank Thomas for his commitment and wish him all the best for his future, both sportingly and in private," said Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Trabzonspor are currently fourth on the Turkish Super Lig standings.

"It is with great pleasure that I can finally announce my official commitment to Trabzonspor," the 32-year-old said after completing his move.

"Thanks to the club for taking the responsibility of trusting me, I'll be giving my all for the team, starting today.

"May this adventure become a memorable one!"
