Pogba On Course For Juventus Return This Month
Paul Pogba could return to action for Juventus later this month, according to Massimiliano Allegri.
Pogba is yet to feature for the Old Lady since returning for a second spell on a free transfer from Manchester United last summer.
The Frenchman suffered a knee injury in pre-season which ruled him out for the start of the 2022/2023 campaign.
A setback to his recovery in October ruled Pogba out of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and Allegri stated in December he was unsure when the 29-year-old would return to action.
Ahead of Juventus' return to Serie A action against Cremonese on Wednesday, Allegri provided a more positive update on Pogba's situation.
"He's running. The most important thing is that at the moment is that the knee isn't bothering him and it hasn't swollen," Allegri told reporters.
"If he proceeds like this, maybe within 15-20 days he will be able to be with the team, but it all depends on his evolution.
"When the pace picks up we'll see how much and if he can train with the team. If everything goes smoothly, we'll see step by step."
In Pogba's absence, Juventus have recovered from a stuttering start to the season to win their last six top flight games without conceding.
Juventus, who play six games before the end of January, are third in Serie A, ten points behind leaders Napoli.
