Man City Charged By FA For Misconduct After 3-3 Draw With Spurs

The champions drew 3-3 with Spurs at the Etihad Stadium, with the visitors scoring the equaliser in the 90th minute.

However, the hosts were denied the chance for a potential winner in added time when referee Simon Hooper called back play with Jack Grealish through on goal, having initially signalled an advantage, for a foul on Erling Haaland.

Incensed by the decision, Hooper was surrounded by several Manchester City players who registered their protest.

“Manchester City have been charged with a breach of FA Rule 20.1 after their players surrounded the match official during their Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 3 December 2023,” read a statement posted on the FA Spokesperson account on Twitter.

Manchester City have dropped to third on the table after three draws on the spin.
