Guardiola Expects Man City Reaction Against Leipzig After Back To Back Defeats
Pep Guardiola is expecting a reaction from his Manchester City side when they meet RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.
The European champions have lost their last two games to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
A third defeat in a row will be unfathomable for City as they meet Leipzig for the third straight season in the Champions League.
Their two previous visits to the Red Bull Arena produced a 2-1 defeat and a 1-1 draw, and Guardiola will be looking for a better result this time around.
"It's never a good day when we don't win, that's the standard we have at the club," said Guardiola on Tuesday.
"We have a lot of winners and know how to deal with it."
"It's always an intense moment when it happens, that's the way it should be.
"We don't lose our happiness and enthusiasm. It's good we feel it that way and hate it that much. That's what keeps us winning."
Man City started their defence of the Champions League with a 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade on matchday one while Leipzig saw off Young Boys with a similar scoreline
