Rondon had six months remaining on the two-year contract he signed in the summer of 2021 when joining on a free transfer from Chinese Super League side Dalian Professional.

The 33-year-old failed to become a regular at Goodison Park, scoring just once in 27 Premier League appearances.

The former West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United forward is now a free agent and is eligible to join any side of his choice when the January transfer window opens in search of regular first team football.

A statement from the Toffees read: "Salomon Rondon has left Everton with immediate effect after reaching an agreement with the club to terminate his contract.

"The Venezuela striker joined the Blues from Chinese team Dalian Professional in August 2021 and made 31 appearances for Everton, starting 13 matches and scoring three goals.

"The 33-year-old's deal was initially due to end at the end of June 2023."

Everton are currently 17th on the Premier League standings.
