Yaya Toure Retires At 35

Former Manchetser City and Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure, has officially announced his retirement from football at age 35 according his agent Dimitri Seluk.
The versatile midfielder, who left Manchester City at the end of the 2017/18 season to join Greek side Olympiacos, had his contract terminated by the Thrylos in December after making just two appearances.
Toure, in April claimed he had no plans of retiring from the domain, but rather taking a sabbatical leave from the game to consider other offers presented before him.
“No one can stop me from playing football, I just decided to take an important time off for myself and it is very important to carefully weigh the options,” Toure claimed in April.
“It’s not the end or retirement from the game because I believe I can still play on for another two or three years,” he added.
The Ivorian midfielder, who plied his trade with AS Monaco, Barcelona, Manchester City and Olympiacos at the peak of his career is set to venture into coaching and management.
In his eight seasons with City, Toure won three Premier League titles, two League Cups and one FA Cup in 2011, aside his two LaLiga titles and the 2009 Champions League with Spanish giants Barcelona where he spent three years.
Despite being already known in the sports, one major factor that brought him to the limelight was his spell at Camp Nou and the Etihad Stadium.
Aside club football glories, Toure also boasts of national and individual achievements as he won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations playing for Ivory Coast, and was also named the African Footballer of the Year in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
