Stones Predicts Over 100 PL Points For Man City
By Nigel Phillips
John Stones has tipped Manchester City to accumulate more than hundred Premier League points this season.
Pep Guardiola’s side dropped points in only six games last season and broke a Premier League record by clocking 100 points en route to winning the campaign.
Manchester City have begun this season on the same tangent, amassing 23 points from a possible 27, having dropped points only twice in the opening nine games of the season, and Stones believes the point haul can improve even more.
"I think it's more of the same, really," says the Stones told The Telegraph.
"Such a high bar to set ourselves, but that bar is there to be broken, to try and beat that.”
"And I don't think it's impossible. We've drawn two games, but last season at Liverpool we lost so that's another step forward, to go there and [draw].
"I don't see why we can't break it [100 points]. I'm not saying we will but it has to be an ambition.
"Fifty points at home and 50 points away are unheard of as a team and I'd love to keep improving."
