Skriniar Extends Inter Milan Contract To 2023

Inter Milan’s highly rated Slovakia centre-back, Milan Skriniar, has signed a new contract at the San Siro, extending his stay at the club until at least the 2022/23 season.
The 24-year-old has been one of Inter Milan’s most consistent performers this season, helping the club keep 15 clean sheets in the league as they aim to reach next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Skriniar’s impressive performances has attracted the interest of several European bigwigs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United, but his commitment to the Inter Milan cause means those clubs must look elsewhere to strengthen their respective backlines.
Skriniar, who joined the Nerazzurri from fellow Serie A side, Sampdoria, two years ago, has featured 44 times in all competitions this season, with Inter Milan third on the Serie A table.
The club wrote on their official website on Thursday: "Milan Skriniar and Inter have the same aims. And this is why FC Internazionale Milano has extended the Slovakian defender’s contract until 30 June 2023."
"He is the defender with the highest average number of successful passes in this Serie A, 65 per match, with a total percentage of 92.3 per cent."
"He won 221 duels and is the third top defender for recovered balls in Serie A. With Skriniar on the pitch for the entire match Inter conceded no goals on 15 occasions in the current tournament."
Inter Milan can confirm their place in next season’s Champions League by winning one of their two remaining league games, starting with this weekend’s trip to the San Paolo Stadium to face second-placed Napoli.
