Senegal FA Boss Urges Mane To Ditch Liverpool For Real Madrid

Sadio Mane has been urged to ditch European Champions Liverpool for Real Madrid by the Senegalese Football Association President, Saee Seck.
Mane has been pivotal for Liverpool since joining from Southampton in the summer of 2016 and his combination with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino under Jurgen Klopp has reinvigorated the Reds into serious title contenders.
Mane helped Liverpool win the Champions League last season, although they missed out on the Premier League title by a point to Manchester City.
The 27-year-old’s impressive performances has seen him linked with Real Madrid but he just signed a new five-year contract with Liverpool last November to cool talks of an impending Anfield exit.
Mane is away in Egypt for national team commitments and ahead of Senegal’s showdown with Tunisia in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, Saee Seck has urged his main man to make the step-up in his club career.
“Everybody in the world knows that Mane is in the top ten best footballers in the world and he has achieved significant success at Liverpool in the past season,” Seck stated to the Mirror.
“He alongside Mo Salah and Firmino are phenomenal. But this is football and he won the Champions League last season and he has the chance to go to Madrid.
“For me I think it’s the best club in the world. Even if I am a Barcelona fan, I still think Real is the best and Mane should be thinking of that offer seriously.
“The career of a footballer is very short and sometimes you don’t get the chance a lot so if it’s there, and I think Zidane likes him, why not?
“He played in Southampton and when the chance came he took it and went to Liverpool and he has held the challenge well in England. I think he will do well with another challenge in another country.”
Mane has scored three times in the African Cup of Nations as Senegal aim to win the trophy for the first time in their history.
