Brazilian Goalkeeper Everson Scores Stunning Free Kick Goal
By Joshua Walters
Brazilian goalkeeper Everson Felipe Marques showed he is not only good in-between the sticks, but also excellent in effecting set pieces when he scored a stunner from a free kick from 20 yards out.
The 28-year-old Ceara goalkeeper was the hero on Wednesday night as his side beat Corinthians 2-1 in the Brazil Serial A.
Not just did Everson make crucial saves on the night, but he also surprised the spectators by electing himself for a 19th-minute free kick, and driving the ball over the human wall and into the top corner of the far post.
