Rubin Kazan have been banned by UEFA from all European competitions for two seasons after breaching the FIFA Fair Play (FFP) rule.
UEFA said on Thursday that the Russian Premier League outfit would not be allowed to compete in the Europa League or the Champions League even if it qualifies for any of the competitions.
"The adjudicatory chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) has taken a decision in the case of the club Rubin Kazan that had been referred to it by the CFCB chief investigator, due to a breach of the Settlement Agreement.
Omnisport reported that the decision taken by the European football governing body was as a result of Rubin Kazan’s failure to comply with the agreement they had with the FFP in May 2014.
"The club is excluded from participating in the next UEFA club competition for which it would otherwise qualify in the next two seasons," UEFA stated.
The Tatarstan club has seventeen points from ten league games, and, occupies the fifth position.
