By Danny Ward
Cristiano Ronaldo’s aim for a successful return to Spain has ended with the striker crying to the dugout after receiving a straight red card at Valencia on Wednesday.
Ronaldo is in Spain with Juventus for his first Champions League game and visit since switching camp from Real Madrid to Italy this summer.
But, it took the Portuguese icon only 20 minutes to be shown the red card by referee Felix Brych following an incident with Jeison Murillo.
Ronaldo advanced towards the edge of the Valencia penalty box and appeared to be pushing off Murillo, who also looked like obstructing the attacker.
The striker fell to the ground, and Brych showed Ronaldo a striaght red which could rule out the striker from Juventus' trip to his old club Manchester United in their second Group-H fixture.
