Molde Demands Solskjaer Return At The End Of The Season

By Joshua Walters

Norwegian side Molde have disclosed they have no agreement with Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer to overstay his loan period at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian and Manchester United legend was hired to his former club from Molde in a deal that expires at the end of the  2018/19 season.

The former striker who scored Manchester United’s winning goal with a late strike during the 1999 Champions League final has changed the course of the Red Devils from an ordinary side under former manager Jose Mourinho to a side being with confident and scoring goals and winning games as well.

Solkjaer has become a toast of the Manchester United faithfuls, and the former has also served notice recently that he will love to be at the club for a long time.

Molde are however adamant to extend the deal, and Sporting Director of the club, Neerland, insists the agreement, as stipulated, will not go beyond May this year.

"The deal is until May 12. That is our Plan A and our Plan B. We have no Plan C. We have only spoken with United about this period, January to May. Nothing else. I'm staying with this plan."

Molde allowed their manager to leave for England, with the understanding he would return to their helm in May allowing the tactician to miss the first few months of the Norwegian league campaign, which kicks off in March.

Neerland was pressed on whether he thought the Norwegian would return when his tenure at United is over and said with a smile: "I think Ole will be back in May. I think."
