Liverpool are planning to secure the services of Burnley defender James Tarkowski after being left with an injury crisis with their centre-backs.
The Anfield outfit has a tall injury list following layoffs to Joe Gomes and Joel Matip.
The injury list does not end there, but rather reached the doorstep of Dejan Lovren,as the only fit centre-back left to pair Virgil Van Dijk was also stretched off in the side's 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Monday.
The injury worries have left Jurgen Klopp side turning to the Turf Moor outfit with a loan proposal for their inform defender James Tarkowski, but the club is reluctant to make a deal with Liverpool having asked them to cough out a whopping £50 million for the English defender.
Burnley are currently sixteenth on the league table and is being threatened with relegation which has led the player with some interest to leave the club at least for a short term.
Tarkowski has played eighteen league games for the Clarets with three goals thus far and five appearances in the UEFA Europa League qualification having joined the club form Brentford in a three and a half year deal for an undisclosed fee in 2016 when Burnely was then a Championship club.
Liverpool had many defensive options before the injury woes set in at a time when they have taken Nathaniel Clyne to AFC Bournemouth, on loan in the January transfer window.
