James Rodriguez Leaves Future Uncertain
By Joshua Walters
James Rodriguez has insisted he knows not what the future holds for him as he is much concentrated on Copa America in Brazil.
The former Monaco midfielder broke silence on his future after his side defeated Paraguay 1-0 in their last group stage game in the Copa America.
James spent the last two seasons of his career at Bayern Munich as the Bundesliga side have refused to make an attempt to keep him after his spell and the Colombian claims he has no idea where he will be next season.
The left-footed playmaker endured limited first-team opportunities after Zinedine Zidane took hold of Real Madrid’s dugout following the departure of Spanish trainer Rafael Benitez.
And with the return of Zidane to the club, James would have to find a side that will guarantee him more playing time.
Rodriguez believes the ball is in Real Madrid's court if he is to where his future lies.
But would the Spanish giants give him a chance to fight for a place in the first-team when Zidane is the head coach?
Despite the midfielder's uncertain future, Napoli seem to be interested in the player as a reunion with his former Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti could be on the cards.
"The decision about my future depends on Real Madrid", James said to 'Marca'. "I can't do anything...", he continued.
"I have never spoken to Zidane", he said.
"Now I'm just thinking about this tournament. I still don't know which club I'm going to. I want to be calm,"
Colombia, who won all their games in group stages defeated Argentina 2-0 in the opening fixture as they topped group B with nine points.
