Henry Ready For AS Monaco Challenge

Thiery Henry says he is eager to meet the challenges of being the manager of French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco after The Red and Whites announced him as the new technical head on Saturday.
The France and Arsenal legend picked up his first top managerial job at AS Monaco as a replacement to Leonardo Jardim who was sacked by the Stade Louis II outfit on Friday after the side’s poor start to the 2018/19 season.
Henry has signed a three-year contract with The Red and Whites, and tells the club’s official website he is elated by the opportunity, and ready for the task ahead of him.
“In the first place, I thank AS Monaco for giving me the opportunity to coach the team of this club which is so special to me”, I am very happy to come back to AS Monaco and extremely determined to meet the challenges ahead. I can not wait to meet the players to start working together.”
Henry retired from football in 2014 and took up a pundit job at Sky Sports before assisting Roberto Martinez to lead the Belgium national team to the bronze medal in the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Arsenal all-time top scorer has a difficult responsibility on his hands as he takes over a club that has mustered a paltry six points out of nine games and lying in the 18th position.
Henry is not just faced with the task of leading Monaco to domestic redemption but international, as well, as the side is currently walloping at the bottom of Group A of the Champions League with no points from two games.
