Gnabry Extends Bayern Munich Contract Till 2023

Bayern Munich winger Serge Gnabry has extended his stay at the club after penning a new three year deal that expires in the summer of 2023.
Gnabry joined Bayern Munich from fellow Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in the summer of 2017 for a reported €8m but fierce competition for places among the Bavarians’ forward line saw him farmed out to TSG Hoffenheim to gain more playing time.
Gnabry returned to the club at the start of the season, and injuries to veterans Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, who are expected to leave the club at the end of the season, has made him a regular fixture in Niko Kovac’s starting eleven.
“I feel very, very well here. It's a lot of fun with the team,”Gnabry told Bayern's official club website.
“Of course, I hope for many titles and great moments - and look forward to a good future with Bayern.
“Personally, I am currently doing very well, but I know that I still have potential and need to develop further.”
Bayern Munich’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic expressed his delight after securing the long term future of the 23-year-old.
"We are happy that we tied Serge to Bayern in the long term," he said. "He has taken a big step forward in his first season with us.
"Serge is one of our young guns and an important part of Bayern. We are confident that we will have a lot of fun with him."
Gnabry, who spent four years on the books of Arsenal, has made 21 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring six goals.
