Former Arsenal Striker Nicklas Bendtner Jailed For Fifty Days

The City Court of Copenhagen has sentenced former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner to fifty days in prison for assaulting a taxi driver.

The court convicted the former Danish international after video footages emerged of him assaulting the taxi driver in September.

The judgment delivered on Friday takes immediate effect, but lawyers of the 30-year-old, who plays for Norwegian side Rosenborg, says they would appeal the decision.

Bendtner is said to have broken the jaw of the taxi driver after partying with his girlfriend, Philine Roepstorff at the Lusso nightclub.
