Denis Suarez Demands Barcelona Exit

Struggling Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has confirmed he wants an exit from the club to seek for more playing time elsewhere.

The former Villarreal winger insists he will like to remain in the Spanish LaLiga despite opting for a move away from the LaLiga champions.

The 25-year-old midfielder has struggled to find a place in the team having rejoined the side in 2016 as he spent the second half of the season on loan with Premier League outfit Arsenal.

In an interview with El Larguero, Suarez stressed how eager he is to depart from the side as he wants to join a team that will guarantee him more playing time in the LaLiga.

“What I want is to leave Barca and play.

“My goal is to stay in the Spanish league.

“I have been in Barcelona for two months recovering from the injury and nobody from Barca has told me anything.”

Suarez enjoyed a wonderful spell with Marcelino during their time at Villarreal and the Spanish midfielder seems to have an interest for a reunion with the 52-year-old trainer who is now the head coach of Valencia.

“Marcelino is the best coach I have ever had.

“I speak regularly with him.

“It’s not true that I rejected Valencia.

“Valencia have never shown any interest in signing me as they are doing now.”

The frustrated winger joined Barcelona in 2016 for a reported fee of €3.5 million having signed a four-year contract with an option of a further year depending on his number of appearances for the side.

Injury has had a major part of the player’s football career as that has denied him to live up to expectations despite having a great talent.
