De Ligt Reaches Terms With Juventus

Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt seems to have ended his transfer rumours as he is said to have agreed terms with Juventus according to a report by Sky Sports.
The Ajax captain's impressive season last term has seen him linked with Europe's biggest clubs having led the Dutch giants to the Eredivisie title and Champions League semi-finals.
French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were reportedly the potential suitors to land the 19-year-old's services, but it seems De Ligt is close to joining Juventus.
According to Sky Sports, the centre-back has accepted a five-year contract worth €12 million a year from the Old Lady.
Despite the almost done deal for Juventus, Sky Sports also report PSG are still in the race for the hotcake defender.
Juventus whose formidable defence of Giorgio Chiellini, 34 and Leonardo Bonnuci, 32 nearing retirement, De Ligt's arrival in Turin would be a boost for them.
There were many potential suitors for the player, but Juventus’ recent improved bid has won the heart of the Dutch defender as he is set to be the future star for the Serie A champions.
Having played a pivotal role in Ajax's run to the Eredivisie title De Ligt recorded three goals in thirty-three league games with one assist and three goals in the Champions League.
Should Juventus complete the signing of De Ligt, he will be Maurizio Sarri’s first recruit since joining the side from London-based club Chelsea after just one reason.
Having been eliminated from the Champions League in the quarter-final last term by Ajax, Juventus will now garnish their squad to compete for European glory next season, a feat they will want to claim for the first time in 23 years.
