Courtois Eyes Hazard Reunion At Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois is eyeing a reunion with his former Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard at Real Madrid as he says it will be nice if the latter joined Los Blancos.

The former Chelsea shot-stopper spent four years with his Belgian comrade at the London club from 2014 to 2018

Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, a development which some pundits think is the reason the Belgium national team captain has reneged in signing a new contract with the Blues despite the club showing interest in him.

Hazard's contract with Chelsea ends in 2020, and Courtois told VTM Nieuws he would love to team up again with the player at Real Madrid.

"It would be nice, of course, but I cannot say much about it.”

"That is something he has to decide and what Madrid must decide if they want him because I do not know that either.

"But Eden is a top player and also my buddy, so if he came here it would be fun, but he has to make his choices."

The Belgian goalkeeper, however, added that he is not the right person to lure the player to Real Madrid though he has been joking about the possibility of the two of them meeting up in Madrid with the player.

"No, occasionally we laugh at the fact that we like to play football together but that is something I do not interfere in.

"We will see at the end of the season what can happen but Eden is a fantastic football player."

The duo won the Premier League for Chelsea in 2015 and 2017, a year before the pair helped the Belgium national team to the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia.
