Chelsea Thump Burnley 4-0

Chelsea produced a masterclass without the injured Eden Hazard as they thumped Burnley 4-0 at Turf Moor in a Premier League match day-ten on Sunday.

Morata opened the scores in the 22nd minute, Barkley continued his renaissance under Maurizio Sarri with his third goal in three games in the 57th minute, Willian scored his second goal of the campaign in the 62nd minute before Ruben Loftus-Cheek continued his recent scoring form with a goal two minutes into injury time.

The result moves the Blues to the second spot on the table with 24 points, two points adrift leaders Liverpool.

It also makes manager Maurizio Sarri the first Chelsea manager not to suffer a defeat in his first ten League games for the club.

Burnley started well, but Chelsea looked more dangerous on the offensive aside their ability to keep the hosts at bay.

Alvaro Morata reacted well to get his head onto a miscued strike by Ross Barkley in the 18th minute, but his header was tipped over the bar by Joe Hart.

Chelsea went close two minutes later when Willian opened up an angle for a shot on the left of the area, but curled his shot against the left post.

Morata broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when he latched on to Ross Barkley's through ball to unleash a magnificent shot into the bottom right corner.

Pedro picked up an injury eight minutes later and was replaced by Thursday night’s Europa League hat-trick hero, Ruben Loftus Cheek.

Alvaro Morata shot into the side-net in the 32nd minute, and Chelsea doubled their lead in the 57th minute with a strike by Barkley

Ross Barkley received a precise pass and released an excellent long-range strike which flew into the bottom right corner.

Chelsea did not lift their foot off the gas, leaving Burnley with the only option to retreat into defensive areas.

And the hosts would pay for it in the 62nd minute as Willian cut in from the left wing, shaped the ball on to his right foot and flashed a curler past Joe Hart.

Olivier Giroud went close from close range but missed in the 72nd minute, and Loftus-Cheek ended the demolition exercise two minutes into injury time.

Marcos Alonso backheeled the ball from a corner kick, and the English midfielder shovel a shot past Joe Hart, via a deflection.
