Ashley Cole Released By LA Galaxy

Former England defender, Ashley Cole, has been released by Major League Soccer side, LA Galaxy, following the expiration of his contract.

The 37-year-old joined Galaxy in 2016 after terminating his contract with Italian outfit, AS Roma.

Cole made 86 appearances for the MLS side but failed to help them clinch a playoff spot this season as they finished seventh in the Western Conference.

The former Chelsea defender is one of eight players who has parted ways with the club who retained former Manchester United striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for the 2019 MLS season.

Cole was a key member of the famous Arsenal side, dubbed 'The Invincibles', who went unbeaten in the entire 2003/2004 Premier League season.
