Liverpool right full-back Trent Alexander Arnold has commited his future to the club after signing a contract renewal on Friday.

Arnold has penned a five-year deal which will keep him at the club until 2024.

The England defender graduated from the Liverpool academy and made his first debut for the first team in October 2016.

The 20-year-old player has developed to become a permanent first-team player and played a key role in Liverpool's run to the 2017/18 Champions League final which they lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.

Arnold has extended his good form to this season by helping the team to the summit of the 2018/19 Premier League season with 57 points after twenty-two games.

The former youth player has played seventeen games in the Premier League with one goal and three assists this season, and featured five times in the Champions League where Liverpool are in the round of 16 stage.

Arnold was delighted after signing the contract extension as he disclosed his ambitions for the Anfield club.

"I'm ecstatic and really proud," Alexander-Arnold said. "I feel privileged to have the support and the trust the club has in me to
offer me a new deal."

"There was no doubt in my mind to sign and extend the years I have with the club. Hopefully we can achieve a lot of success in those
years."

"As soon as they offered the contract, there was no hesitation whatsoever."

"The last 18 months especially have been very special."

"Hopefully the next 18 months and even further on than that will be even more special."
