Allegri Keen To Remain At Juventus

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has laughed off suggestions that his time at the Italian champions might be coming to an end.
Allegri has been in charge at the Allianz Stadium for the past five seasons, winning the league title in each of those campaigns, but the club’s consistent inability to conquer Europe has led to suggestions that a new manager could be employed to take Juventus to the next level.
Allegri took Juventus to the finals of the Champions League in 2015 and 2017, but lost out to Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively, before they exited this season’s competition at the quarterfinal stage at the hands of Ajax Amsterdam despite the acquisition of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking ahead of Juventus’ trip to the Stadio Olympico to take on AS Roma on Sunday, Allegri reiterated his desire to keep going at the Bianconeri despite reports linking him with an exit.
"I enjoy reading and hearing everything," said Allegri.
"It's amusing. This morning, I thought about what they might have done to me if I hadn't won any trophy in these years. But I have fun, it's part of the game and brings some bit of movement as we finished the championship a month ago."
He added: "Next week I will meet with the president. We will be speaking in general terms, as we do every year. Before Ajax I told him I would stay.
"With the president I have an excellent relationship of mutual respect and honesty.
"I've had my ideas for six months on how to proceed. Now I'll share those ideas with the president and, together, we'll see if they work."
