Alba: Morata Will Be Welcomed If Barcelona Sign Him

Jordi Alba says Chelsea’s striker Alvaro Morata will be welcomed at Barcelona should the Catalan club sign him from the English outfit.

Alba, who plays with Morata in the Spanish national team, believes the striker has the qualities that will fit him into the Barcelona squad.

Alvaro Morata has been linked with a move from the London-based club to the Spanish giants as he struggles for form at Chelsea.

The 26 year old Spanish striker has been struggling to prove himself as a better striking option for the Blues since he joined the club in 2017, but his Spanish teammate is ever ready to welcome him at Barcelona.

"Morata is a player that I appreciate a lot, he has been a top player for many years," says Alba.

"Good players and good people always fit in the club[Barcelona]."

"At the end, it's the club's decision if they want to sign him or not, as with any other player."

"If the rumors are true, he would be very welcome, as all the new players [are]."
