Tuchel Wants PSG To Emulate Real Madrid

PSG Manager Thomas Tuchel is eager to see his team perform like Real Madrid as he tells his players to emulate the European Champions’ winning spirit and composure.

Tuchel told newsmen on Monday he desires for a team that knows how to win games, keeps calm when trailing, and able to rally from behind to win games, and sees all of that in Real Madrid.

PSG are guests to last year finalists Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League opening fixture on Tuesday, and Tuchel has told his team to go in with the Real Madrid mentality.

“Real Madrid has a generation that knows how to win the big games, they know how to resist the pressure.

“Last season, Madrid were almost eliminated in the quarterfinals, almost in the semi-finals and in the end they won, that is something I want to add our team.”

“Maybe we are missing Madrid's conviction, because they have experience in these games, and over and over again, they know that in the end, they win those games.

“If in the first game against Real Madrid you deserve to win, you're close, but in the end, you concede three goals and it is tough.

“I saw the second leg with my coaching staff, and you felt that PSG was not totally convinced of being able to win it, unlike many of the Real Madrid players.”
