Xavi Confirms Barcelona Interest In Palmeiras Wonderkid Endrick
Xavi Hernandez has confirmed that Barcelona have held talks with Brazilian wonderkid Endrick regarding a transfer to the Camp Nou.
At just 16 years age of Endrick is considered the next big thing in Brazil following some impressive performances for Palmeiras.
Numerous European clubs, among them Real Madrid, are considering moves for the talented teenage forward.
Endrick will not be able to move to Europe until he turns 18, but that has not stopped clubs from putting forward their proposals in order to tempt him into a move.
Despite their highly publicised financial troubles, Barcelona have also put together their own package for Endrick.
"We've been talking to his father and also directly to the player. I explained the project we have in Barcelona," Xavi told ESPN.
"We want talent and he's a talent, able to make a difference. He can score goals, he can dribble, he's got a brutal ability to make a difference.
"He's the kind of player we need. He already knows the project we have in Barcelona and we are talking.
"I hope he becomes our player. It's up to him. It always depends on the player. Usually, a player will end up playing where he wants to play. So, it's a very personal decision of Endrick."
