Victor Moses Joins Inter Milan To Reunite With Conte

Inter Milan have sealed the loan signing of Victor Moses from Chelsea until the end of the season with the option to make the move permanent for £8.5m.

Moses was on an 18-month loan deal with Turkish giants Fenerbahce after joining them in January last year but had to cut that spell short once he heard of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s interest.

The 29-year-old former Nigerian international has been on the books of Chelsea since the summer of 2012, having joined from Wigan Athletic, but this will be his fifth loan spell away from the club.

Moses has previously completed temporary switches to the likes of Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United but it was during Conte’s time as Chelsea manager between 2016 and 2018 that he really found his feet at Stamford Bridge.

Originally a right-winger, Conte converted Moses into an effective wing-back in his favoured 3-5-2 formation as the former Crystal Palace man made 78 appearances under the Italian at the Bridge, winning the Premier League and FA Cup.

Inter have fallen four points behind Juventus in the race for the Scudetto in recent weeks and Conte will be hoping Moses’ arrival helps galvanise the side to mount a strong title challenge.

'It's an honour for me to be here and be an Inter player. I'd like to thank everyone for the welcome I've been given, I can't wait to start,' Moses said on Inter TV.

'Having the opportunity to work with the coach again is something I'm really happy about,' Moses said.

'I have spoken to him and he has already explained the club's project to me. I want to be part of it, I'm happy to be here.

'I'll give my all and want to help the team. There's a lot of quality here, I want to make my contribution out on the pitch and enjoy myself. That's the most important thing.'
