A brilliant comeback from the hosts condemned the French champions to their third league defeat of the season.

Kylian Mbappe put Paris Saint Germain in front after 19 minutes and victory looked certain for the Parisians, but a goal on the stroke of halftime from Mounir Chouiar pegged the champions back.

Jhonder Cadiz gave the hosts the lead just two minutes into the second half to hand Dijon their third league win of the season.

Tuchel was not happy about the performance of the league leaders and he admitted his side lacked control and did not deserve any luck.

"It's football - anything is possible," the former Borussia Dortmund coach told Canal+ after his side’s 2-1 defeat.

"This is not the first time that the side last in the standing has beaten the side in first - and it won't be the last time.

"I think we lost the game in the first half because we had three shots, compared to 17 in the second period - a big difference.”

"I was expecting more in terms of speed, mentality and duels. We played better in the second half but we conceded two goals in the match and allowed too many shots - it's not normal."

He added: "In the first half we were too passive. Scoring a goal without having opportunities was perhaps the worst thing for us.”

“We were never in control of the game and did not play with the precision, speed or mentality that is necessary."

This defeat means PSG have lost against Rennes, Reims and Dijon this season and Tuchel has warned his players not to take certain opponents lightly.

"If we play like this, anything can happen - that's football," he said.

"People told us we were in another league, but that's only if we play at 100 per cent. If we don't play together, or with the intensity that is needed, anything can happen.

"As I said, maybe the worst thing today was that we scored a goal because it was not deserved. We did not play together and we lacked structure.”

“We had 17 strikes in the end, but maybe we did not deserve to be lucky."
