Stuttgart Secure Loan Signing Of Mahmoud Dahoud From Brighton For Rest Of Season
Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud has joined Stuttgart on loan for the rest of the season.
Dahoud made 14 appearances for Brighton after joining from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer last summer.
The 28-year-old has won two caps for the Germany national team.
Dahoud has also played for Borussia Monchengladbach in the past.
Brighton Technical Director David Weir said: 'This is a good move for Mahmoud.
'It will give him an opportunity to play regularly for a side doing very well towards the top of the Bundesliga. We wish him well for the rest of the campaign.'
Stuttgart are third on the Bundesliga table.
"We are delighted that Mo Dahoud, a player who will make us even better, has decided to join VfB Stuttgart," said VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth.
"Mo has already proven his enormous soccer quality in the Bundesliga and internationally. We are sure that he will quickly find his feet and will be a valuable addition to our squad from now on.
Dahoud added: "It's great to be playing in the Bundesliga again. VfB is a great club with a great tradition and great fans. The team plays exciting and impressive football."
"I already know some of the players from the U21 national team. I'm looking forward to reuniting with VfB and can't wait to get out on the pitch with the team."
