Solskjaer Immune To Carragher Criticism

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is immune to criticism from former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

Solskjaer Immune To Carragher Criticism

Speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports on Monday, Carragher questioned Solskjaer’s capabilities as a manager after the Red Devil’s 29-game unbeaten run away from home in the Premier League ended with a 4-2 defeat at Leicester City last Saturday.

Manchester United have now failed to win in each of their last three league games and the pressure has started mounting again on Solskjaer, who brought in Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window.

Nevertheless, Solskjaer insists Carragher’s comments will not hold him back.

"No it doesn't affect me," he said ahead of United's Champions League match against Atalanta on Wednesday, which is followed by a daunting home game against Liverpool in the Premier League this weekend.

"Of course you see comments once in a while, I didn't know what he was saying now.

"Of course we have got Liverpool on Sunday as well, so Jamie is always looking at these little things.

"I have got my values, I have got my way of managing.

"I believe in myself and as long as the club believes in me, I am pretty sure Jamie Carragher's opinion is not going to change that."
