Pogba Not Worth €200 Million Price Tag, Says United’s Star Brother
Mathias Pogba, Paul Pogba’s elder brother has disclosed his younger brother does not worth Man United’s €200 million valuation.
After two seasons at Old Trafford, Pogba hinted of a new challenge elsewhere, putting both Real Madrid and Juventus on the alert, but a move away from the Premier League seems impossible.
However, Real Madrid have made the French international their prime target as they look to secure his services before the European transfer window ends on September 2.
And speaking of a possible move for the World Cup winner, Mathias Pogba, who currently plays in the third tier in Spain has insisted his brother does not meet the huge price tag Man United have placed on the midfielder stressing a move for his brother is still possible.
"Zidane is one of the greats and I think that if the club give him what he wants he won't have a problem," Mathias told El Chiringuito.
"But if they don't give it to him, he's going to have a hard time because what he wants is not going to happen.
"Zidane is missing my brother and another midfielder on top of that, I think.
"Of course, Florentino [Perez, club president] can still bring him to Madrid, nothing is impossible. Until September 2, anything can happen.
"My brother isn't worth €200m, but that's just the way the transfer market is these days.
"Manchester United are going to ask for a lot of money, I'm sure, but he's not worth €200m."
Despite angling for a move away from Manchester United, Pogba, in the side’s season opener against Chelsea impressed the United ultras as he recorded two assists in their 4-0 win over Chelsea.
Manchester United will travel to Molineux to play Nuno Espirito Santo’s side Wolves in their second game for the season on Monday.
