Mbappe Still Undecided About PSG Future
Kylian Mbappe says he is still undecided about his Paris Saint Germain future.
Mbappe's current contract with PSG will expire this summer when he will become a free agent.
The 25-year-old signed a two-year contract with the option of a third with the French champions when his previous contract expired in 2022.
However, Mbappe informed PSG authorities that he will not be taking up the third year option in his contract last summer.
Long-time admirers Real Madrid are waiting to pounce for Mbappe while interest from the Premier League remains intact.
But the Frenchman says his concentration is on helping PSG win trophies for the time being.
Mbappe was on target as PSG defeated Toulouse 2-0 to win the French Super Cup on Wednesday and told reporters afterwards: “I haven’t made my decision. I didn't make a choice. But in any case, with the agreement I made with the president this summer, whatever my decision we managed to protect all the parties. And to preserve the serenity of the club for the challenges to come. Which is the most important. When will I decide? I do not know.
"In 2022, I waited because I didn't know until May. If I know what I'm going to do, I'm not going to hang around. That does not make any sense. But like I said, the most important thing is to win trophies. The team and the group are looking towards that. My situation, no one talks about it within the club. I just want to help win trophies, like I did today.”
Mbappe has scored 22 goals in 23 appearances for PSG this season.
