Maldini Unsure Of Ibrahimovic Serie A Return
AC Milan director Paolo Maldini believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic might "fear" a return back to the Serie A amid interest from Napoli, Bologna, and Inter Milan.
Ibrahimovic and Los Angeles Galaxy were knocked out of the first round of the Major League Soccer playoffs by bitter rivals Los Angeles F.C.
The 38-year-old might have played his last game for LA Galaxy as his contract is set to expire in December, and the former AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus marksman has been linked with a move back to Italy.
The Swede claimed he would score 20 goals a season in Serie A even at the age of 38 but his former team-mate Maldini thinks otherwise.
"Ibra would be a dream return for many reasons, but I think within his mind there is a little fear that he won't be the dominant Ibra of old," the former Ac Milan defender told Sky Sport Italia.
"I remember when [former Milan head coach] Carlo Ancelotti put me on the bench for a derby and that's when I realised, I could not accept a season like that. I don't know if Ibra could accept that either.
"Krzysztof Piatek is a good striker. He needs to think more about playing with the team, but his strength is scoring goals."
The former Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain striker has been in fine form since leaving Old Trafford in March 2018 and has scored 53 goals for the Los Angeles based club.
