Luka Jovic To Justify €60 Million Fee At Real Madrid
Serbian forward Luka Jovic has disclosed he is now set to prove his highly-rated summer move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid.
Starring in Frankfurt’s impressive run in the Europa League last season, Jovic attracted interests from top European clubs before Real Madrid secured his services in Zinedine Zidane’s high summer spending.
Despite recording 27 goals for Frankfurt last season, Jovic is yet to hit the ground running at the Spanish capital after recovering from an injury he sustained prior to the season.
Gaining his first start for Los Blancos in the side’s 2-2 draw against Villarreal, the 20-year-old who recorded an assist has insisted he is ready to prove himself at Real Madrid.
"I was injured, it was that red card when I had to come off against Arsenal [in the first half of the International Champions Cup clash after Nacho Fernandez was sent off].
"It's not easy for one young player, but I think I handled it in the best way possible and I'm ready to answer the biggest demands.
"As far as I know, we play 11 on 11, we don't just play against Ronaldo," Jovic said.
"We will prepare for the whole team, not just Ronaldo.
"He is certainly their best individual, but they have many more interesting players who can make a problem. It will be necessary to be concentrated and disciplined as much as possible to achieve a positive result."
Luka Jovic is currently on international duty as he looks to help Serbia defeat Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal in their Euro 2020 qualifier on Saturday.
