The pair were substituted on Sunday when Juventus defeated Sampdoria 3-2 in the Italian Serie A.

Dybala opened the scoring for the Old Lady before Leonardo Bonucci added a second from the penalty spot. Maya Yoshida halved the deficit for the visitors on the cusp of half time but Manuel Locatelli restored Juve’s two-goal advantage before Antonio Candreva ensured a nervy finish for the hosts by scoring Sampdoria’s second in the 83rd minute.

Dybala lasted just 21 minutes before suffering what appeared to be a muscle injury while Morata was taken off eight minutes before the end.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri confirmed afterwards that he will prepare for the game against the European Champions without Dybala and Morata, who will be denied a reunion with his former club.

"We'll see how to play against Chelsea without Dybala and Morata," Allegri said after the game.

"It's not a decisive game anyway. The key games for the qualification are those against Zenit."

Juventus started their Champions League campaign with a 3-0 win away to Malmo while Chelsea defeated Zenit Saint Petersburg 1-0 on matchday one.
