‘It Is Pure Jealousy’- Dwight Yorke Shames Solskjaer’s Haters Amid Man Utd Title Charge
Dwight Yorke has called out Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s detractors with Manchester United firmly in the race of a surprising title charge under the tutelage of the Norwegian.
For the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in the summer of 2013, Manchester United lead the Premier League table at the half way stage of the campaign.
After a tricky start to life as United manager, Solskjaer, whose credentials of managing the Red Devils have been widely questioned, looks to have finally modelled the Old Trafford outfit into playing his way.
Yorke has been observing the critics from afar but is delighted to see his former teammate getting things right at the Theater of Dreams.
“There is a lot of jealousy towards Ole from within the game. People don’t want to see him be successful for some reason,” Yorke told The Sun.
“I have been looking at it and listening to people talk about the football club and it is pure jealousy.
“He did not do great at Cardiff and managed Molde then gets one of the top jobs in world football.
“People in football are begging for an opportunity and he has got this one, he’s won the jackpot.”
“He has ignored all that talk, stuck to his beliefs and, let’s remember, used all his experience from his time at United as a player and working with the Under-23s.
“He has grasped this and now look at where they are.”
United are back in action against Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round at Old Trafford on Sunday.
