Isco Suffers Hamstring Injury
Real Madrid playmaker Isco has suffered a hamstring injury, the club confirmed on Wednesday.
"After our player Isco underwent some tests carried out by the Medical Team at Real Madrid, he has been found to have a muscle injury in his right femoral biceps." informed Madrid on the part of their official medical team.
The Spanish midfielder has joined the club’s injury list as he becomes the 10th victim of injury suffered by the side.
Brahim Diaz was the first Los Blancos player to get injured during their pre-season tour of Canada followed by Mendy, Asensio and Jovic.
Having arrived in Madrid from a pre-season tour, Thibaut Courtois also got injured before Sergio Ramos picked up a knock after Eden Hazard and Rodrygo Goes sustained injuries on the eve of the new season with the previous one being James Rodriguez.
According to Spanish news outlet, AS, Isco is expected to spend two to three weeks on the sidelines as he will miss Madrid’s next LaLiga games against Villarreal and Levante.
Iscco will also miss Spanish national team’s Euro 2020 qualifiers with Romania and the Faroe Islands.
The former Malaga player has been a regular prospect for Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid this season having featured twice for the side.
All things being equal, the 27-year-old is expected to be ready for selection when Real Madrid travel to Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium on September 22 against Sevilla.
