Europa League Round Of 16 Draw: Sevilla Drawn Against Roma, Man United vs LASK
The draw for the round of 16 stage of the UEFA Europa League has been held this afternoon in Nyon, Switzerland, drawing up some mouthwatering ties.
Already some big guns have fallen by the wayside after the likes of Arsenal, who reached the final last season were eliminated on the away goals rule by Olympiacos on Thursday, and last season’s Champions League semi-finalists Ajax Amsterdam were dumped out by Getafe.
2017 winners Manchester United are away at Austria for a date with LASK while Steven Gerrard’s Rangers clash with German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
Perhaps the biggest game of the round sees five-time winners Sevilla take on AS Roma while Inter Milan’s reward for eliminating Ludogorets will see them take on Getafe.
The winner of Friday’s game between Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Salzburg will meet Basel.
The first legs for the round of 16 games will take place on 12th March while the second legs are on 19th March.
The final for this season’s Europa League will held at the Stadion Energa Gdansk in Poland on May 27 2020.
Chelsea are the current holders of the competition after beating Arsenal 4-1 at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan in May last year.
