Declan Rice Worth More Than £100m, Moyes Insists
West Ham United manager David Moyes insists Declan Rice is worth more than £100m.
Rice has come on leaps and bounds since making his debut for the Hammers towards the end of the 2016/2017 season.
Released by Chelsea as a 14-year-old, Rice is now a full England international, with 13 caps to his name and with Mark Noble no longer a guaranteed starter at the London Stadium this season, Rice has been skippering West Ham for majority of the campaign.
Rice’s performances have not gone unnoticed by England’s big clubs as the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have been credited with an interest.
The 22-year-old will not come cheap though as the West Ham hierarchy value him around the £100m mark but manager Moyes believes Rice is worth much more and is not even considering selling him.
Moyes said: "I don't agree with the owners that Declan Rice is a £100m footballer. Far, far more than £100m. Far, far more.
"I look at the players who have joined some clubs from overseas and come in and nowhere near had the impact Declan Rice would have.
"I certainly wouldn't put a price on it. You can decide which figure you want to put on it but I wouldn't be sanctioning anything like that, that's for sure."
West Ham have exorcised their relegation fears of last season and are pushing for an European spot this term. Victory over Leeds United on Monday could take them from their current 7th position into the top four.
