Chelsea Strike Deal With Pochettino To Become New Manager
Chelsea have reached an agreement with Mauricio Pochettino to become the club's new manager.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs boss is set to fly to London in the coming days to sign a three-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino has been without a club since leaving Paris Saint Germain in the summer of 2022.
The 51-year-old will be taking charge of his third English club, having also managed Southampton for 18 months before leaving for Spurs.
Chelsea are still under caretaker manager Frank Lampard for the rest of the season, having endured a dismal campaign.
The club sacked Thomas Tuchel at the start of the season and his replacement Graham Potter could not last beyond six months at the helm.
Chelsea will be without European football next season and are set to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
Pochettino guided Tottenham to the Champions League final in 2019, losing to Liverpool.
He won the Ligue 1 title with PSG in his only full season in charge of the side.
